Listed below are lessons covering evolutionary concepts.  The lessons do not need to be taught in order; however, they are listed in a way that allows them to build upon each other.

For all of the lessons, the teacher must be able to project the computer program onto a board or have it display on a television.  Ask your technical support faculty for help with this.

At the outset, it should be noted that students should have some general understanding of heredity and genes.  Students need to know that offspring have the genes of their parents, with slight modifications.  Therefore, if a parent is adapted to survive, it will likely pass those adaptive traits on to the next generation.  In this simulation, the animals reproduce asexually and have an exact copy of their parent's genes.
